“Yoga for Back Care” Part 1 Open and Release
This first video for Back Care teaches how to release back pain caused by tight back, hip and leg muscles. Deborah begins with classic opening postures, followed by a deepening sequence for opening and releasing tight hamstrings and key leg muscles, hips and the lumbar/Sacral region. Final relaxation for stress reduction and integration at the end is included. Other areas of the spine may find relief through this sequence.

The Yoga for Healthy Aging class at Adeline Yoga Studio is designed for those whose injuries and limitations make it necessary to practice slowly and with focus. This class teaches students how to help themselves using the healing benefits of asana as their tool. It offers techniques for joint support, muscular strength, balance maintenance, and injury prevention to help us as we age. This class recording will focus on the shoulder and shoulder mobility.
As we age our body goes through many changes and challenges. Even if we’ve practiced yoga for a long time, nature eventually has its way, causing us to feel less energy, stamina, and desire for active movement. However, it is entirely possible to maintain a strong practice well into our later years. First step, we have to commit to a consistent routine. In this workshop you will learn how to stay strong, balanced and mobile. By adjusting and modifying yoga postures along with appropriate pacing, and supported stress reduction techniques you will be guided into meeting the challenges of aging.
